Bettina Krieg (f. 1981) är en tysk konstnär verksam i Berlin.
”I chose the title ’Osmosis’ because it captures something essential about how I work. Osmosis describes the movement of substance through a permeable membrane — a continuous, active exchange between two states, rather than a fixed boundary between them. This mirrors the core of my drawing practice: the blurring of inner and outer worlds, the way forms grow, dissolve, and transform into one another, and the sense of movement, water, and structure that runs through the work.
Unlike words that suggest a static condition, ’Osmosis’ is inherently a process — it implies continuous exchange, adaptation, and transformation, which reflects both the intuitive, organic way I draw and the body of work developed over recent years, brought together in this exhibition. The title also carries a quiet, fluid quality that resonates with the delicate, filigree nature of the drawings themselves — nothing is forced through; everything finds its way, gradually, into a new form.”
