At The Museum of Drawings we offer a haven of creativity for children and youths. Here, they can discover new ways to talk about and view imagery together with other children and youths. We put great emphasis on children and young people’s own creation. Here they can create, share and develop their creativity in our educational programmes, or on their own with guidance from material in our open studio.

Downstairs in the museum you will find our Drawing Studio which is always open for our visitors. Here you can access various art materials for both young and old. In the Drawing Studio you can create freely or follow our ideas of drawing inspired by the current exhibitions. On the weekends and school holidays we organize workshops with different themes in our Drawing Studio, so take a look under »events«. (Any deviating opening hours are also stated there.)

Since 2018, Theatre Halland, Halland’s Art Museum, and Halland’s Cultural History Museum receive a sum of money to spread knowledge of their acitivities to children and young people outside their own municipality. The grant replaces the former traveling support. All cultural actors and all organisations that wish to visit a cultural acitivity can apply.
The grant can only be used within Halland, during the same year it was granted. Payment is made after the programme/visit. Applications are open all year.
