Vernissage: The History of Drawing

15 June 12 PM–4 PM
Free admission

This summer, we are presenting a major exhibition on the history of drawing, with a focus on works from the Teckningsmuseet collection, spanning from the 18th century to the present day. This exhibition takes you on a journey through history, from the Stone Age to today, highlighting various genres of drawing. We will explore the versatility of drawing and how this form of expression can be used to describe our world and depict emotions, thoughts, opinions, and ideas.

Vernissage with Jazz and Quiz

Join us for the vernissage on Saturday, June 15th, from 12 PM to 4 PM. At 1 PM, the museum’s duo Linus Hertley-Lundberg and Henrik Stenberg will officially open the exhibition with a historical drawing quiz. No teams—everyone competes individually. A wonderful prize awaits the winner. During the vernissage, you can wander through the exhibition to the live jazz music of The Swingin’ Johnny Carlsson Duo. In the drawing studio, there will be an artist-led workshop throughout the day: “Draw Like the Cave Paintings.” Open to all ages and no pre-registration required.

Welcome!
