Stina Wirsén is one of Sweden’s most prominent and beloved illustrators. She has written and illustrated many children’s books and illustrated for various fashion brands, newspapers and magazines. Stina Wirsén has worked as a professional illustrator since her graduation from Konstfack University College of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm in 1992. For many years she worked at one of Sweden’s largest newspapers, Dagens Nyheter, where she contributed to the development of illustration as an important feature to the articles.

Stina Wirsén is also dedicated to her own projects where she organizes creative workshops for children, both in Sweden and abroad. Her books have been translated into fifteen languages and she has received numerous awards over the years, such as the Elsa Beskow Prize, Expressen’s Heffaklumpen Cultural Prize and En bok för alla’s (A book for everyone’s) award for her commitment to promoting reading among children.

This exhibition features a selection of her wide range of works, including fashion illustrations, watercolour works, and children’s book illustrations from the “Brokiga” and “Vem?” series.
